Mrs. Judith Miner, Dean David Van Zandt, and the Communication and Legal Reasoning faculty presented this year's Arlyn Miner Book Awards to students who have the best combined grade for briefs written in each section of the first-year appellate advocacy class. Mrs. Miner, who sponsors the second-year Julius Miner Moot Court Competition and the first-year noncompetitive Arlyn Miner Moot Court, established the Book Award in 1985 to recognize the importance of excellent persuasive writing.

This year's Arlyn Miner Book Award winners are:

Winners of this year's award received an inscribed copy of In the Interest of Justice by Deborah Rhode, the Ernest W. McFarland Professor of Law at Stanford University.
