Helane L. Morrison, district administrator for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s San Francisco office, will deliver the keynote address at Northwestern University School of Law’s 42nd Annual Corporate Counsel Institute in San Francisco.
Legal and regulatory issues in corporate governance and disclosure will be the focus of this meeting, which will take place Dec. 4 and 5 at the Hotel Nikko, 222 Mason St. Other topics to be discussed include spamming and privacy issues in e-commerce, ethical obligations of in-house counsel, and developments in bankruptcy and employment laws.
Every year distinguished legal and business professionals from across the nation attend the Corporate Counsel Institute to hear expert analysis of current trends and developments facing corporate counsels.
This event is part of Northwestern University School of Law’s continued efforts to build upon the strengths of its nationally prominent continuing legal education program by aggressively addressing evolving concerns of today’s legal and business worlds.
The institute is presented by the Corporate Counsel Center of Northwestern University School of Law in cooperation with the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
