STUDENTS HONORED FOR EXCELLENT BRIEF WRITING




Dean David Van Zandt and Mrs. Judith Miner (front center), and the Communication and Legal Reasoning faculty presented this year's Arlyn Miner Book Awards to students who had the best combined grade for briefs written in each section of the first-year appellate advocacy class.

This year's Arlyn Miner Book Award winners are:

Gary Chen '04
Sarah Anderson '04
David Tonisson '04
Kate Baumgartner '04
Kaitlin Reidy '04
Cathy Nasser '04

Mrs. Miner, who sponsors the second-year Julius Miner Moot Court Competition and the first-year noncompetitive Arlyn Miner Moot Court, established the Book Award in 1985 to recognize the importance of excellent persuasive writing.
