SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt to speak March 16 at 5 p.m.

Arthur Levitt, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will discuss current developments in the structure of America's capital markets at 5 p.m. March 16,2000 at the Northwestern University School of Law, 357 E. Chicago Ave.

Free and open to the public, the speech is funded by the Morgan E. and Belle B. O'Brien Fund and is being held in cooperation with the Northwestern University School of Law and the University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. "We are delighted to provide Chairman Levitt a forum to talk about America's capital markets," said David S. Ruder, former SEC chairman and William W. Gurley Memorial Professor at the Law School.

Ruder, who was instrumental in Levitt's visit to the Law School, is chair of the newly formed Mutual Fund Directors Education Council, formed with the support of the SEC and administered by the Law School.
